‘She’s gone and she’s never coming back’: Southern Colorado family speaks out to raise domestic violence awareness

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – One Southern Colorado family wants to raise awareness of domestic violence in the state. According to the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, intimate partner violence is a serious public health issue as 36.8% of women and 30.5% percent of men have experienced physical violence, sexual violence, and stalking. Of all homicides in Colorado, 15% were committed by intimate partners.
