Heated Postgame Interaction Erupts On Field After Vanderbilt’s Win Over Auburn

The Vanderbilt Commodores notched their sixth win of the college football season on Saturday, taking down the Auburn Tigers with a 17-7 final score at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia finished the day with 143 yards and two touchdowns on 9/22 passing. With this victory, the former New Mexico State QB is now 3-0 against Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze in his college football career.

Pavia’s teammate, offensive lineman Steven Hubbard, made sure everyone knew the quarterback’s record after the game.

“He up 3-0. He up 3-0,” Hubbard said. “… This same field last season, he beat that [expletive]. He came in here and beat that [expletive].”

Several Auburn players approached Hubbard after these comments.

“Take your [expletive] home,” Hubbard continued.

This heated postgame exchange is grabbing attention on social media.

“Diego Pavia running the state of Alabama this season,” one fan wrote.

“When you win, you can talk! Vandy dog walked the State this year. Better luck next season, Alabama!” another said.
