Drivers involved in viral street race between Tesla Cybertruck and Lamborghini arrested, Fairfax County police say

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Fairfax County announced on Saturday that detectives arrested two drivers involved in an illegal street race in Tysons earlier this month.

According to the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD), on Oct. 29, an FCPD detective was alerted to a viral video on social media showing a blue Lamborghini and a Tesla Cybertruck illegally street racing near Leesburg Pike and Westwood Center Drive.

Police said the race took place on Oct. 13. Tesla CEO Elon Musk commented on the video of the race on X in a post that received over 100 million views.

Upon investigating, FCPD said detectives identified the driver of the Tesla Cybertruck as Christian Camacho, 48, of Vienna, Va., and the driver of the Lamborghini as Carlos Montero, 37, of Sterling, Va.

On Friday, Camacho turned himself in at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where authorities charged him with Racing and Stopping on the Highway.
