Teenager hit by train in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are investigating after an 18-year-old woman was hit by a train in Cranston.

The incident happened in the area of Wellington Avenue at Avery Road, according to police.

A service alert by Amtrak said there is currently a hold on all travel between Kingston and Boston.

It’s unclear what led up to her being hit or her current condition.
