Veterans get support from Fresno motorcycle run

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The Clawson Motorsports Combat Veterans Motorcycle Run made its return this year in Fresno— helping raise money for veterans in need.

“All proceeds are going to Wreaths Across America and Beyond the Barracks it’s to help support veterans here at the Central Valley,” said Richard Oliver, Event Coordinator & Combat Vets Assoc. Chapter 33-5 member.

The sixth annual Veterans Motorcycle Run aims to support veterans.

The motorcycle run kicked off with a pancake breakfast starting at Clawson Motorsports in Fresno.

Over 250 participants on motorcycles left for Buckhorn Saloon in North Fork for lunch on Saturday.

For every bike, at least $40 go to Wreaths Across America and Beyond the Barracks— an organization that Richard Oliver says supports veterans.

“Around Christmas time we put wreaths on deceased veteran’s gravesites. That way, they’re never forgotten,” Oliver said.

Oliver says last year they raised over $18,000.

Riders finished their trip at the Wake house in Reedley.
