A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 10:05 a.m. for fire danger until 5 p.m. for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Beaver, Allegheny, Armstrong, Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette and Indiana counties.
