ITHACA, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A man who was wanted in Virginia was arrested in Ithaca on Friday afternoon.
John C. Tolley, 32, of Staten Island, was arrested on Nov. 1 after police investigated a tip from the community. According to the Ithaca Police Department, officers found Tolley at an apartment complex on the 100 block of East Green Street.
Tioga County, Pa fugitive from justice arrested in Baldwin
Police say Tolley was wanted by the Norfolk, Virginia, Police Department for violating his probation. Tolley is on probation for numerous crimes, including grand larceny, credit card fraud, and credit card larceny.
Tolley was charged with being a fugitive from justice and arraigned in the Ithaca City Court. He was then taken to the Tompkins County Jail to await extradition to Virginia.
