Little Rock man rescued on South University after being trapped underground for 3 days

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Little Rock Fire Department crews rescued a man Sunday morning after he was stuck in a manhole for three days.

A Little Rock fire official has confirmed that the incident took place in the 4100 block of South University.

The official said that the man told rescuers that he climbed down into the manhole three days before to seek shelter, but that he couldn’t climb back out.

Little Rock Fire Department called for additional crews from North Little Rock to help with the operation.
