PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: We’ll see scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms throughout the day today, especially for areas west and north of Madison. There will be a little bit of a break in the rainfall tonight, but some sprinkles are still possible. Today’s high will occur later in the evening as a warm front moves into the area. After unseasonably mild low in the middle 50s tonight, temperatures will climb into the lower 60s by early Monday morning.
EXTENDED FORECAST: The soaking rain is expected through the day on Monday and Monday night with the rain steadily tapering off throughout the day on Tuesday. Widespread 1-3″ of rain is likely, with isolated higher amounts possible. By Wednesday, the rain should of wrapped up, leaving southern Wisconsin dry and cooler by Thursday before another round of rain chances return next weekend.
