A Beaufort County woman was recently honored for all of the work she does to help those in need throughout the Lowcountry. Maureen Cooley was named 2024 Woman of the Year Oct. 25 by United Way of the Lowcountry’s Women United during its Fall luncheon at the Culinary Institute of the South in Bluffton. Cooley is a resident of Dataw Island in Beaufort County.
