PARMA, OH – Little Birdie Wine Nest describes itself as a “social sanctuary” on its website. When my friends and I went to the cafe – which is located in Keystone Plaza at 6060 Broadview Rd – we were happy to discover that Little Birdie more than lives up to the description.
As soon as I walked into the Parma eatery, I was delighted by the drawings of adorable little birdies that were all over the place. If the eatery sold the birdies in plushie form, my bank account would have been in danger.
For lunch, we split 2 grazing boards – the brunch board and cheese & charcuterie board, which were each $38. Both boards were full of delicious treats that left the 3 of us more than satisfied.
The brunch board came with sweet liege waffles, candied bacon, pancake & blueberry skewers, cinnamon roll bites, yogurt-covered pretzels, hazelnut-filled beignets, oranges, grapes, strawberries, a spinach feta pastry, and a hash brown. Nearly everything on the board was scrumptious. The liege waffles were sweet and unlike an average bland American waffle, needed no syrup or toppings to be enjoyed. The candied bacon was the perfect combination of sweet and savory, and the pancake bites on the skewers were delightfully fluffy. All of the fruit was fresh, and the hash brown was crispy and topped with a thick balsamic glaze along with apples and squash.
