It would be silly to consider the Detroit Lions (7-1) an indoors-only football team.
Head coach Dan Campbell made that clear, as did the team in a 24-14 Week 9 victory over the Green Bay Packers at a soaked Lambeau Field on Sunday.
Campbell spoke to reporters after the game, saying the Lions are “built for this.”

“I’m not shocked one bit that we came out here and played pretty good football out in the elements. We’re built for this,” Campbell said. “And just because we play indoors, it doesn’t matter, we can play anywhere. We can play in the snow, in the rain, in the mud—that’s just us. We’re built to win.”
Detroit certainly proved it as it rained throughout the game and provided an additional challenge against a solid Packers team. It was Detroit’s second road win in as many games against NFC North opponents as they defeated the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 20.
Quarterback Jared Goff also shared his thoughts after the game about the elements and the win.
