Body of Kentucky game warden taken to Alabama in funeral procession

LOUISVILLE, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — The body of a Kentucky Fish & Wildlife game warden left the Bluegrass state on Sunday, bound for his home state of Alabama in a funeral procession that began in Louisville.

The procession in honor of 24-year-old William “Tex” Bailey left around 11 a.m. from O.D. White & Sons Funeral Home in Louisville, per Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officials .

From there, troopers with the Kentucky State Police Department (KSP) and other agencies reportedly took the Watterson expressway, converged onto I-65, and led the procession toward Bailey’s hometown of Huntsville, Alabama.

Bailey died on Friday after suffering a medical emergency during a training exercise , according to previous reporting.
