NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Despite starting the season buried down the depth chart, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has emerged as one of the team’s most reliable pass catchers.
Westbrook-Ikhine caught his team-high fourth touchdown pass of the year in Tennessee’s 20-17 win over the New England Patriots and played 97% of their offensive snaps.
The fifth-year receiver has only missed seven games over the last five seasons after joining the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana in 2020. Westbrook-Ikhine has been a reliable option for the Titans over the years.
Westbrook-Ikhine has been likened to a Honda Accord because he always seems to get the job done, even though he may not always do so in the most glamorous way. Westbrook-Ikhine enjoyed the description enough to purchase a retro shirt off eBay that featured an old model of the car with the words “Honda Accord” on it.
“A buddy of mine showed me one of your tweets about how I’m like a Honda Accord,” Westbrook-Ikhine said, referring to a tweet from ESPN’s Turron Davenport. “I’m just trying to be Mr. Reliable. It might not look pretty but it’ll get you from A to B. That’s what I’m here for man. Just get us from A to B and get the win.”
