According to the department, on February 8, 2024, Williamson and his codefendant, Corvalis Stewart, landed a rented Cessna 172 aircraft at Middleton Municipal Airport in Middleton, Wisconsin.
Williamson, a private pilot, reportedly rented the aircraft to fly to Phoenix, Arizona, to obtain drugs, with Stewart as his passenger, the department stated.
Federal and state law enforcement officials were reportedly alerted to the flight and had received information about Williamson and Stewart’s suspicious activities in Arizona.
Officers tracked the plane as it returned to Middleton, where it landed at approximately 10:55 p.m. Williamson and Stewart exited the plane and walked to the parking lot, the department confirmed.
Stewart was reportedly carrying three bags, which he placed in the back of his vehicle. Law enforcement detained the men and searched the bags.
