Cross country’s best: Vote for the Guardian Foundation Repair girls athlete of the week in Knoxville

It’s the Presidential election week, but don’t forget to vote for your choice for the Guardian Foundation Repair girls athlete of the week in the Knoxville area for Oct. 28-Nov. 2.

This week’s lists consists of region cross country stars around Knoxville.

Emery Adams, CAK: Adams finished East Region runner-up in a time of 19:46.44 during the Division II-A region cross country meet last Tuesday.

Lily Bridges, Alcoa: Bridges was the Division I, A/AA Region 2 meet runner-up with a time of 20:51.93 to help Alcoa capture the team region championship with 29 points last Wednesday.

Zoi LeCours, Farragut: LeCours finished region runner up in a time of 20:27.73 in the Class AAA Region 2 championships last Wednesday.

Ava Moody, Anderson County: Moody captured the Division I Class A/AA Region 2 cross country meet in a time of 19:47.32 last Wednesday.

Alexandra Vesser, Hardin Valley Academy: Vesser’s time of 18:57.80 was enough for her to capture the Division I, Class AAA Region 2 cross country meet last Wednesday. HVA captured the girls region title with a team score of 23 points.
