WILSON’S MILLS — Police here are warning residents about a coyote after three sightings along Wilson’s Mills Road.
Twice in one week, people saw a coyote behaving erratically on and near the grounds at Wilson’s Mills Elementary School. Police alerted the school, which kept children inside.
The most recent sighting was on Oct. 24 near J.D.’s Country Store.
“The Wilson’s Mills Police Department and Animal Control have been working to capture or kill the animal,” police said in a Facebook post. “Thus far, efforts have not been successful.”
Police ask anyone who sees a coyote to call 911 immediately.
