The Golden State Warriors will try for their fourth consecutive win when their road trip continues with Monday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards. A 5-1 record through six games has the Warriors one game out of first place in the Western Conference and what’s even more impressive is that their recent success has come without Stephen Curry .
The 10-time NBA All-Star guard has missed the Warriors’ last three games due to an ankle injury . Even though his teammates have done perfectly fine in his absence, Golden State fans are wondering when Curry will make his highly anticipated return to action.
It turns out those fans might not have to wait much longer.
San Francisco Chronicle’s Sam Gordon is reporting that Curry participated in the Warriors’ optional shootaround on Monday morning . The 36-year-old sharpshooter is ‘questionable’ to suit up tonight, however, his participation indicates there’s a decent chance he’ll be healthy enough to suit up at Capital One Arena.
Curry hasn’t seen any action since he suited up in a 112-104 loss the the LA Clippers on Oct. 27. He injured his ankle on a screen during the fourth quarter, forcing Warriors head coach Steve Kerr to rule his star player out with a “mild or moderate” sprain , per ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk.
