Man, 29, fatally shot in neck, abdomen in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating a fatal shooting that happened in Brooklyn over the weekend.

Just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, police responded to a 911 call for a male shot at 2060 Pitkin Ave. in East New York.

Upon arrival, officers observed 29-year-old Aarmani Dawkins with gunshot wounds to the neck and abdomen authorities said.

EMS transported him to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in critical condition and later died.

Dawkins was walking his aunt’s dogs in the courtyard of his aunt’s building at the time of the shooting, the Daily News reported.

There have been no arrests made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
