IDENTIFIED: Victim killed in crash near In-N-Out in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Officials have released the name of a man who was hit while crossing the street near an In-N-Out in Fresno.

Police say on Saturday, Oct. 26, at around 8 p.m. they responded to Blackstone Avenue and Swift Avenue for a report of a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle.

The man had walked into the roadway as a vehicle was traveling northbound on Blackstone Avenue and was hit. Responding officers reported administering CPR before he was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office announced Monday that the man died in the hospital on Oct. 28. He was identified as 34-year-old Rudy Reyes.

Detectives said at the time of the crash the driver remained on the scene and was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
