Security guard won’t be charged after fatally shooting man who put gun to his head

AURORA, Colo. – No charges will be filed after a security guard at an Aurora convenience store fatally shot a man in August. Prosecutors announced their findings on Monday and said the guard was acting in self-defense when he shot Vernon Dorsey on Aug. 31 outside the 7-Eleven at 12085 E. Colfax Ave.
