Man shot and killed Monday morning in North Lawndale

CHICAGO – A 20-year-old man was shot and killed Monday morning on the city’s West Side.

Chicago police said the shooting happened just after 10:45 a.m. in the 3700 block of West Roosevelt Road in North Lawndale.

According to police, a 20-year-old man was walking when an SUV pulled up. That’s when a male passenger from inside the SUV got out and fired shots at the man, hitting him in the arm, chest and flank.

The victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he died.

No other information was released and Area Four Detectives are investigating.
