ALABAMA (WHNT) — The Alabama Republican Party says it is stationing hundreds of people, including poll watchers and lawyers, to oversee Tuesday’s election in Alabama and Georgia.
More than 200 GOP-backed poll watchers will be in districts around the state, and the party is sending over 200 watchers to Georgia. The poll watchers on their way to Georgia are supporting former President Trump’s campaign in “the nation’s most critical battleground,” according to the state GOP.

Dozens of election attorneys will also be set around the state to provide legal support for any election-related issues identified by Republican poll watchers.
“The Alabama Republican Party is committed to safeguarding the electoral process and ensuring every legal vote is counted properly,” Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party John Wahl said. “Alabama voters deserve to know that their votes will be counted accurately, fairly, and transparently.”
