Uncle Mike’s bakes up a 2024 presidential cookie poll

DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – Uncle Mike’s Bake Shop in De Pere stirred up excitement by baking specialty cookies that double as ballots, inviting customers to cast their ‘votes’ in an unofficial poll for 2024 the presidential election.

This year, the bakery crafted cookies with the faces of the presidential nominees, featuring Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

Harris, Trump deadlocked across swing states in final days of election

Mary Vandewalle, owner of Uncle Mike’s Bake Shop, shared with Local Five that Trump-themed cookies are currently leading by a wide margin. Nationally, Trump cookies are ahead with 72% of the ‘vote,’ while locally, he holds a lead of 42%.

These cookies are available to order online and are shipped nationwide, allowing cookie ‘voters’ across the country to join in.

Whether customers are casting their ‘ballot’ for Harris or Trump, they’re indulging in a taste of democracy, one cookie at a time.
