Even though the calendar says early November, it felt more like late September to begin the week across Central and Eastern Kentucky. With a breezy southwest wind gusting 20 to 25 miles per hour along with a mix of clouds and sunshine, afternoon highs surged into the upper 70s to around 80 degrees, which actually set a record high for November 4th here in Lexington at 80 degrees. It’s only the 12th time that Lexington has recorded an 80 degree or higher temperatures during the month of November and they’ve been keeping records since the late 1800s! This followed a record tying day on Sunday here in Lexington when the afternoon highs climbed all the way to 78 degrees set back in 1987 so we’ve hot 2 days in a row and could possibly make it 3 on Tuesday.
