One person was killed and another injured in a shooting at an Austell home over the weekend, police said.
A suspect has been arrested and charged with murder.
Officers with the Cobb County Police Department responded to a reported shooting around 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Linworth Boulevard, off Anderson Mill Road, the department said. At the scene, they found two men who had been shot. Both were transported to the hospital.
Jeffrey Moore, 54, of LaGrange, Georgia, died from his wounds, police said. The other victim, a 44-year-old from LaGrange, was listed in stable condition.
Police arrested 42-year-old Courtney Rashun Woullard of Austell at the scene, “without significant incident,” Cobb Police said.
Woullard has been charged with murder, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, and two counts of aggravated assault. He was booked into the Cobb County jail and is not eligible for bond.
