City of Nampa moves and works to install the city’s Christmas tree

The city of Nampa cut down a moved a 54-foot-tall blue spruce tree on Monday morning, which will soon become the city’s Christmas tree.

  • A tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Nov. 30 at 12th Avenue and Front Street.
  • The ceremony will be held in conjunction with the city’s “Shop Small Saturday” event.
  • After the holidays, the tree will be turned into mulch and used in Nampa parks and trail system over the summer.
