Caltrans Continues Overnight Paving Work on El Camino Real in California’s Silicon Valley

Caltrans Bay Area is moving forward with the SR-82 Rehabilitation Project, which includes overnight paving on El Camino Real in Mountain View, Los Altos, and Palo Alto. Motorists and residents should be prepared for road closures and detours along SR-82 in both directions during nighttime hours.

Paving will occur Monday through Friday from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m., with work on the southbound side (Sandhill Road to Knickerbocker Drive) continuing through November 8 and northbound paving (Knickerbocker Drive to Sandhill Road) scheduled to finish by November 15.

Parking restrictions are in effect, with “No Parking” signs posted along SR-82. Access to sidewalks and driveways may be limited, but noise monitoring is being conducted to minimize disruptions. Drivers and residents are advised to plan accordingly.
