Spokane County Clerk’s Office services modified due to statewide system shutdown

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — The Spokane County Clerk’s Office (SCCO) announced modifications to its provided services due to a statewide system shutdown on Monday.

In a press release sent out around 5 p.m. on November 4, SCCO said it was experiencing service interruptions due to technical issues with the Washington Courts network.

“The Administration Office of the Courts (AOC) has taken immediate action to secure critical systems and is actively working to safely restore services,” reads the release.

SCCO said that during the outage, it will continue to offer in-person filing of paper documents, processing of emergency orders and access to physical court records maintained in the office.

Temporarily unavailable services include electronic court records searches, electronic filing and electronic payment processes.

The office will remain open during regular business hours and time-sensitive filings will continue to be processed.

SCCO also said alternative procedures are in place for any “emergency matters.”
