LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The last day of early voting resulted in long lines and extra dedicated voters in Pulaski County on Monday, as the nation headed into the Tuesday election.
The line at the Pulaski County Regional Building wrapped around the building, going down the block to 2nd Street throughout most of the day. Voters had different reasons for coming Monday, rather than Election Day. Some said they wanted to avoid bad weather Tuesday, while others said they hoped the line would be shorter Monday than Tuesday.
Where can Arkansans vote on Election Day?
No matter the reasoning, voters emphasized the importance of casting their ballot and letting their voices be heard.
“We’ve had plenty of people bleed and die, give their life for the process,” voter Robert Calhoun said. “It’s not a perfect process, but we as Americans, if we all participate, we can make it better.”
