Tennessee House of Representatives elections are every two years, of course, which offers ample opportunities for newcomers to challenge incumbents.
Two races are unopposed in the districts that touch Knox County, but most voters will have the opportunity to select between at least two candidates.
Here are the results, which will start to populate as the ballots are counted once the polls closed at 8 p.m.
Election officials expect Tennessee’s races to be wrapped up by about 11 p.m. the night of Nov. 5.

Tennessee House District 14
The Tennessee House of Representatives 14th District is comprised of parts of southeast Knox County, including Northshore and Farragut. It’s been represented by a Republican since at least 2004.
Democrat Amanda Collins, 46, is a former school psychologist.
