Weather Forecast For The San Francisco Bay Area

Daytime highs will be mostly in the mid 60s to low 70s on the coast, high 60s to mid 70s around the bay, and mid to high 70s inland. Overnight lows will be mostly in the high 40s to low 50s.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the interior Bay Area, as well as San Francisco, the San Francisco Peninsula Coast, the Bay Shoreline, and elevated areas of the Central Coast from 11 a.m. Tuesday today through 7 a.m. Thursday as strong offshore winds and critically dry conditions are expected to develop. According to forecasters, fire weather conditions will deteriorate throughout the day as high pressure builds into the Pacific Northwest, a cold front plunges southward across the area, and a reinforcing trough digs into the Four Corners.

A Wind Advisory is also in effect from 4 p.m. Tuesday through 3 p.m. Wednesday for the North Bay interior mountains due to offshore winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. According to the NWS, Tuesday will bring the driest conditions this week with widespread critical relative humidities everywhere except the immediate North Bay Coast and the immediate Southern Monterey Bay Coast.
