Live Election Day updates: Cumberland County voters reminded to check polling locations

It’s finally here.

Welcome to Election Day, Cumberland County. The Fayetteville Observer will provide live updates throughout the day and the evening as results come in after the polls close at 7:30 p.m.

12:15 p.m.: Voters mistake East Regional Library as polling place

Voters attempting to cast ballots at the East Regional Library on Clinton Road near Vander are discovering the library is not operating as a polling location.

Several voters discovered this after arriving there Tuesday. The East Regional Library was an early voting site which likely led to the confusion.

Voters showing up at the library are being told they can cast their ballots just down the street at the Vander Fire Department at 3509 Clinton Road. The Cumberland County Board of Elections reminds residents to double-check their polling location.
