The cities of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Hampton all have competitive mayoral matches cued up on Tuesday. (Newport News is not electing a mayor this year.)

Virginia Beach Mayor Dyer faces 4 challengers in re-election bid
The most crowded race for mayor in the seven cities of Hampton Roads this year is in the city of Virginia Beach.
Five people are running to be mayor of the most populated city in the Commonwealth.
Mayor Bobby Dyer is hoping to be elected again for a third time.

CHESAPEAKE
Race for Chesapeake mayor pits incumbent Rick West against challenger Don Carey
Mayor Rick West is running for re-election and facing a challenge from City Councilman Don Carey in a race that has been contentious at times.
