CARLISLE, Pa. – The Cumberland County Bureau of Elections announced that it began the pre-canvass of mail-in and absentee ballots for the General Election Tuesday at 7 a.m. After being sworn in to uphold the law, perform duties impartially, and not to read, write, or certify any return or vote falsely or fraudulently, the trained county staffers began the pre-canvass process, which includes preparing ballots to be scanned, the bureau said in a press release.
