As Augustans prepare to cast their ballots on Election Day, officials say more than 50% of active voters in Richmond and Columbia counties have already have cast their ballots.
Georgia election statistics show 50.1% of voters in Richmond and Columbia counties cast 111,826 early votes and have sent in 8,500 absentee ballots.
Statewide early turnout totaled 55.5%, or 4,018,575 voting out of 7,242,983 active voters.
Registered voters who have not yet cast their ballot can visit the polls from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Voters can also drop off absentee ballots at official ballot drop boxes or at their county registrar’s office.
