Updates: Turnout hits 65% in Tallahassee, Leon with City Hall, White House at stake

It’s decision day at last.

With races that will decide who will control the White House and City Hall , the stakes are high. At the same time, Florida voters will determine if abortion access should be a constitutional right and if recreational marijuana should be legalized.

Almost 60% of registered voters have already had their say and cast their ballots. With polls open between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., many more will have their say on Election Day.

A marquee matchup: Two Tallahassee political titans battle for control of City Hall, commission District 2 seat

On the ballot today , voters will choose between Dot Inman-Johnson and incumbent Curtis Richardson for City Commission Seat 2, a contest that could change the commission’s voting majority .

The race will determine whether control of Tallahassee City Hall remains in the hands of a moderate, business-friendly City Commission majority or falls to a more progressive one that would usher in major management changes.
