The National Weather Service in San Diego reports dry conditions for the week, accompanied by periods of Santa Ana winds. Gusty north to northeast winds are expected to impact areas including the coastal mountain slopes, mountain foothills, the Inland Empire, inland Orange County, and eastern valleys in San Diego County on Wednesday and Thursday.
Temperatures will remain below average for most of the week, with a gradual warming trend anticipated by the weekend. Areas of frost may occur in wind-sheltered valleys and the High Desert on Thursday and Friday mornings. While winds have subsided, a red flag warning has been issued for Wednesday, starting at 4 AM, covering much of the San Bernardino Mountains, the Inland Empire, and inland regions of Orange County. Additional fire weather watches are in effect for Riverside and San Diego Mountains, as well as the inland valleys of San Diego.
