WSAV’s Christine Queally and Kaley Fedko take a look at some of the biggest local races in Chatham County.
Incumbent John Wilcher (R) and Richard Coleman (D) face off in the race for Chatham County sheriff. In the bid for the Chatham County district attorney seat, Incumbent Shalena Cook Jones (D) is challenged by Andre Pretorius (R).

Polls are now open in the 2024 general election. Voters will be deciding on the next president, U.S. House seats and local races.
So far, voters have come out in droves. Both Georgia and South Carolina saw record-breaking early voting turnout with 4 million and 1.5 million ballots cast respectively.
If you have yet to vote, polls will be open until 7 p.m.
Visit Georgia’s My Voter Page or the South Carolina Election Commission website to find your polling place. You will be asked to present a photo ID when checking in to vote.
