2 Mobilians arrested after domestic violence suspect found hiding in air vent: Police

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) —Two Mobilians ended up in Metro Jail Tuesday morning after SWAT officers said they found a domestic violence suspect hiding in an air vent.

According to a Mobile Police Department news release, 36-year-old Robert Marion was arrested along with a woman after SWAT officers responded to the 260 block of Gaston Street around 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

Officers arrived and said they were able to safely remove a female victim and two children from the home before locating the suspect, identified as Marion, hiding in an air vent.

Marion was taken into custody without incident and charged with domestic violence (strangulation or suffocation), according to the department release. The MPD said the victim, who officers found had helped Marion hide from authorities, was charged with first-degree hindering prosecution.
