Race for Governor: Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson and Attorney General Josh Stein greet voters on Election Day

GREENSBORO, N.C. – As current Democrat Roy Cooper wraps up his 8-year term, it will be the first term for whoever wins the seat as North Carolina’s governor. In Raleigh, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson is hosting his election night watch party. Already making history as North Carolina’s first Black lieutenant governor, if he wins, he will become the state’s first Black governor.
