Baker Mayfield turned in another strong performance on Monday night for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Unfortunately for him, it just wasn’t enough as the two-time defending champions Kansas City Chiefs escaped with a 30-24 overtime victory at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium to maintain their unbeaten record this season.
For his part, Mayfield completed 23-of-31 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns, which included an overtime-forcing TD pass to Bucs wide receiver Ryan Miller with just 27 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.
After the game, a self-professed superfan sent a strong message about Mayfield and his performance against the Chiefs. The supporter took to Instagram to heap praise on the Pro Bowl quarterback.
