Want to watch ballots being counted in Washoe County?
There are two ways to do it. One from the comfort of your phone, laptop or home TV, and the other in person.
Live video feeds of Washoe County ballot counting
Although not required, the county livestreams video with four high-resolution cameras trained on different parts of the vote-counting room at its administration complex in Reno.
• YouTube: The livestream is embedded above or available on Washoe County’s YouTube channel under the “live” tab .
The YouTube livestream has a brief reset every 12 hours and sometimes has other breaks because of the network connection.
• Unbroken video: If you want to make sure you don’t miss anything during any breaks in the YouTube feed, Washoe County has a secondary backup feed on its website .
The livestream timestamp is one hour behind because of a sync issue with Daylight Saving Time updated from Windows servers. “To maintain transparency and prevent any confusion,” Washoe County says, “the timestamps will remain as is.”
