COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have arrested a Coventry man accused of aggressively confronting voters and election staff at a polling place Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to the Maple Root Baptist Church, one of the town’s registered polling places, just after 10 a.m. for reports of a man causing disturbance.
Police said the man, identified as 33-year-old Timothy Masse, was yelling obscenities and making vulgar remarks toward voters, political supporters and election staff.
Masse was taken into custody as he continued shouting and interfering with polling operations. He’s been charged with disorderly conduct.
