CMZoo’s Electric Safari nominated for best Zoo Lights

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is preparing for its 34th year of Electric Safari beginning on Friday, Dec. 6 but before the safari begins, fans of the attraction can vote for in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Zoo Lights.

According to CMZoo, the Electric Safari is 26 nights of lights on the mountainside and tickets are available now. This year the attraction is more than 50 acres of twinkling lights, more than 90 hand-made light sculptures, giant illuminated animal inflatables, a holiday-safari drone show, and nighttime city views from the zoo.

Electric Safari was named Third Best Zoo Lights in North America for the last five years by USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards and voting is open for 2024 and will close at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 2.

CMZoo said tickets to the Electric Safari are available now. Advance tickets are required and CMZoo warns capacity is limited and some nights will sell out. Those interested in attending can get tickets on CMZoo’s website.
