One hospitalized after shots fired call on Washington Avenue

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Evansville Police Department (EPD) released more information on a shots fired call that resulted in sending one to the hospital.

The EPD says on November 5 at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to shots fired in the 4400 block of Washington Avenue. On scene officers found one male with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

EPD officers say they were able to quickly establish that the victim and suspect knew each other, and this was not a random act of violence. After a suspect was quickly developed officers were able to apprehend him early this morning. The suspect is currently being interviewed by detectives and search warrants are being conducted at this time.
