Three arrested on felony weapon charges in Troy

TROY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Troy Police alongside state parole officers arrested three people in connection to a Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) Initiative investigation. Jeffrey Walker, 34, of Watervliet, Michael Williams, 31, of Troy, and Michelle McMurray, 54, of Troy, all face felony charges.

On October 29, law enforcement conducted visits to parolees at two residences on Fourth Street and Fifth Avenue. Police reported that an illegal firearm was located at the first home, while cocaine and an illegal handgun that was reported stolen out of Rochester were found at the second home.

Walker, Williams, and McMurray were taken into custody at the respective scenes. The three now face the following charges:

Walker

  • Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon – previous conviction

Williams and McMurray

  • Criminal possession of a firearm
  • Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon – previous conviction
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance – intent to sell
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance
