Miami’s New Housing Project Promises Modern Living for Low-Income Families

Miami-Dade County is preparing to break ground on a new affordable housing community, Courtside II Apartments, marking the final phase of a development that began in 2016. On December 6, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Commissioner Keon Hardemon will officially kick off construction on the project, which will bring 120 new residences to Miami.

According to the Miami-Dade Government press release sent out today, Courtside II will feature two seven-story buildings with one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, all equipped with modern amenities including Energy Star appliances and vinyl plank-style flooring. These units will be available to residents who meet income qualifications, specifically those earning 50%, 60%, and 70% of the area median income (AMI).

Residents will also have access to on-site amenities such as a fitness center, dog park, bike storage, and a clubhouse. Additionally, programs focusing on literacy, financial planning, and employment assistance will be offered to help support the community.
