2 women charged in Montgomery County for allegedly planning to kill ex-boyfriend

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Two women are facing charges after allegedly planning to kill one of their ex-boyfriends, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD).

Police said on June 28, detectives were contacted by a case worker at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Family Justice Center. The caseworker told authorities that they had received information that 53-year-old Adelaida Consuelo Zacarias Chacon, of Germantown, had allegedly attempted to hire someone to kill her ex-boyfriend.

According to MCPD’s investigation, detectives discovered a communication line between Zacarias Chacon and her former sister-in-law, 40-year-old Reyna Gomez Lopez.

Their investigation revealed that Zacarias Chacon had allegedly paid Gomez-Lopez $1,000 to find a person willing to commit the murder. Police said detectives also found a bank transfer confirming the payment.
