Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials said residents should use caution as workers clean up a diesel fuel spill this week along southbound Interstate 81 in Swatara Township starting Thursday, Nov. 7.
A contractor is scheduled to do the work between the Schuylkill County line at Swopes Valley Road and Route 72 at mile marker 92.9, according to officials. Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8.
The southbound I-81 left lane and berm will be closed during work hours. Moderate delays are expected to occur during the clean up.
